Car crash court case part 1

You may remember I was involved in a car crash back in April. Tomorrow I'm likely to need to go to court to testify against the young man who caused the crash.

To be honest, on one hand I hope I'm not required (the Police said they may have enough witnesses). Courts are such shaming places and the guy was really young — we've all done stupid stuff at his age.

A strange time of year

If there was ever a good example of "the space in-between", it would be now, during the months of December and January. There's a strange, almost contradictory, feel of winding down and finishing up, yet beginning anew and preparing to wind up again.

And, even deeper, there's a space in-between the space in-between: a time of rest, restoration, renewal and revival — time to take stock, reflect, make changes and adapt.

Dare I say, it's a space and time for growth and decay.

Belonging: Paul Hawken, Blessed Unrest, and WiserEarth (Wiser.org)

Not often when one person says, "It's ok, you're not the only one(s)."

Paul Hawken's speech at the Bioneers conference on the world's largest movement, which is comprised of hundreds of thousands of grassroots organizations that address social and environmental justice. This speech stemmed from Hawken's book, "Blessed Unrest," which laid the groundwork for WiserEarth (Wiser.org). Wiser.org empowers and connects like-minded individuals and organizations around the World - Together we are striving to create change through our passion for sustainability and social justice.
